Rebecca Gilbert ~UK Grade C Straightness Training Instructor
Just like every human, every horse is left or right handed, both in the front legs and in the hind legs. Also, the horse is bent to the left or right in its body and carries more weight on the front legs than on the hind legs. This causes an uneven distribution of the weight over the four legs.
When the rider does not recognise and correct this imbalance, it can lead to the previously mentioned problems.
Straightness Training has the answers to the problems you may have encountered with your horse!
Straightness Training Could Be Your Solution
When you decide to ride a horse it is your duty to understand and correct the natural asymmetry of the horse.
With Straightness Training you are able to develop your horse symmetrically in both body and limbs. This brings the horse in balance, not only PHYSICALLY, but also MENTALLY, EMOTIONALLY and SPIRITUALLY.
And from there you are able to unlock the full potential of your horse, because you train the horse to carry more weight evenly on their hind legs, and not push weight unevenly onto a front limb.
When you strengthen, supple and straighten the muscles keeping the horse's point of weight in the correct spot, they are able to carry you with ease, grace, power and poise!
And the good news is:
Straightness Training Is For Everybody!
It doesn't matter if you are a beginner or advanced rider, if your horse is old or recovering from injuries. If you're into jumping, hacking, dressage, eventing, driving, natural horsemanship or endurance.
Straightness Training will bring out the full potential in you and your horse no matter what discipline, age or level!
By following a carefully well thought out and practised sequence of exercises, in all the training 'pillars' which include: In-hand work, lunging, ground work, riding and liberty, it won't take long before you see great improvements in your horse.
But don't worry, you don't need to do it alone!
Do You Need Some Guidance?
If you are a beginner, I can help you 'step by step' to straighten your horse and to get him in balance PHYSICALLY, MENTALLY, EMOTIONALLY and SPIRITUALLY.
But if your are a more advanced rider I can be your 'eyes from the ground', I can give you the feedback in the moment, on the spot, so you can develop your feeling to be able to guide your horse in an even better way.
Also if you are a student of Marijke's ONLINE courses, I can help you to transform the theory into practice, so you can feel more confident in your actions.
